Sword Demon Rig

The Sword Demon Rig was designed to support fluid, dynamic animations for a gameplay character in Demon Hunter. I created a robust control system to allow precise articulation of the character’s arms, legs, and torso, ensuring smooth motion during combat sequences and idle poses. The rig includes:

  • Advanced IK/FK Systems: For seamless transitions in bow-drawing animations.

  • Flexible Spine Setup: To enable natural, dynamic motion during gameplay.

  • Facial Rigging: Supporting expressive animations to enhance character storytelling.

  • Custom Controls: Designed for efficient animator workflows, allowing quick adjustments and refinements.

This rig was optimized for real-time performance in Unreal Engine, balancing visual fidelity with gameplay responsiveness.

Ciele Rig

The Ciele Rig was created for the main character in Brush with Faith, focusing on functionality and efficiency to meet the project’s specific requirements. This custom rig was designed to facilitate smooth animations for gameplay and storytelling, with enhancements for optimized performance. Key features include:

  • Custom Rig Controls: Designed to support the stylized movements required by the game’s artistic direction.

  • Optimized Weight Painting: Special attention was given to weight painting to ensure smooth deformation, particularly around the character’s clothing, which posed unique challenges.

  • Efficient Setup: Tailored to the project’s streamlined needs, avoiding unnecessary complexity while ensuring versatility for animations.

This rig balanced functionality with performance, ensuring it met the technical and artistic goals of the project.
